Plane Spotting Atlanta Airport - 2021

Spent an awesome weekend at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. At this hotel I had a balcony room overlooking all the airport action which is never a dull moment.

You get a landing and a takeoff every 2 minutes...all day and all night. You'll get to some really daytime and night time action photos. Night time plane spotting is something I have never done. So, I decided it was time for a new challenge.

  • Delta's Boeing 717 which actually used to be McDonald Douglas DC-9. I heard Delta bought these aircraft from AirTran after they merged with Southwest. Yes I can go on and on with airlines history and facts. That an avgeek for ya!
  • Okay here's some daytime action I managed to get on Saturday in the next series photos. I love this picture of Delta's Boeing 737 as already is airborne and looks like it reached cruising altitude. Delta might would want this for their brochure.
