Ave Marie Grotto

This has been on my photography bucket list for a very long. I remember learning about this place during history class in elementary school. Finally got to come because my Bible study group at church has been studying the life of Brother Joseph. Brother Joseph built a place of miniature cities and places depicted from various Bible stories. He did most of the work single handed. What I really liked about learning about Brother Joseph was that I could really relate to his passion he had for this place and the artistic skills. He didn't do this achieve any fame. He simply did out of love and it was his outlet.

  • I hope Brother Joseph doesn't get too upset but this really brought back some memories of my "He-Man" and "Castle Grayscull" play set I got for Christmas when I was 8 years old. If you grew up in the 80's. He-Man/Masters of the Universe was a popular toy back in the day!

  • I went to this place while on a trip to San Francisco!
  • This photo is my all time favorite during the whole tour. When I was taking this picture I didn't notice of the stained glass behind the guardian angel. All I could see was the red dot. I thought something was wrong with the camera. I just love how you can see the red and blue colors from behind. It also looks as if she's about levitate from her perch. This photo has made me very emotional. I definitely can feel a Holy Spirit in this photo. I do want to frame this one!
  • Some of might not know this but the Alamo originally was a mission before it was a fort like we hear in the stories. I've been to the Alamo.
