A weekend in The Nantahala National Forest and Nantahala River

J.G. Photography Presents: The Nantahala National Forest and Nantahala River! I was invited to go on a rafting trip with my Aunt Charlotte and some friends. I didn’t go rafting. Instead I stayed behind so I could do some photography because this area has been on my “bucket list” for some time. This area offers some excellent nature/landscape photography opportunities. I really felt I got to pay tribute to my hero photographer Ansel Adams. He's the reason why I picked up a camera. I was also able to practice some action photography while watching a variety of rafting and kayaking action along Natahala River. It was also here I was able to set foot on the famous “Appalachian Trail” for the first time ever! That will start at the beginning of this photo album. Later that afternoon we went to see some waterfalls and got some very spectacular shots. I even managed to photo a butterfly as it stood at the deck of my feet. So enjoy this album with some of God’s greatest natural creations!
