J.G. Fine Art Presents: The Nellis Air Show Experience! All photos taken at Nellis Air Force Base (Las Vegas) where they celebrated 75 Years of Airpower! I'm going to tell you folks this was the pinnacle of air shows I've yet to attend. The mountains made for just stunning photography with the planes. After all the sorting, editing, weeding out the good, the bad and the ugly. I came out 50 plus photos!

  • Well we began this show with all might "Stearman". An aircraft that really ushered in the airplane. If you grew up in the 30's or 40's. Chances are this aircraft was almost commonly seen at an airfield or at someone's farm. <br />

This is the aircraft that are WWII pilots would train in. Lots of great historical aspects I really love about this plane. It should never forgotten.

  • Here's a Japanese "Zero"

  • Here's the B-25 Mitchell. The aircraft that brought the first bombs over Tokyo not long after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Uh-Oh! There's a "Zero" comin' in on it's six! Gunners! Man your battle stations!

  • This is the PBY 24 used by the Navy to hunt down submarines in WWII. It was actually a modified B-24 Liberator bomber.

  • Now we move into the "Jet Age". This is the T-33 called the Acemaker! This was the jet that pilots would train in before flying like the F-86 which we'll see later on. This aircraft was also known as the F-80 Shooting Star.
