Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport

Updated on 9/5/2021

Spent a weekend at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel which is located right on the edege of the airport property giving you comanding views of the terminals and runway activities. From my 9th floor balcony I could get just any shot I wanted. My gear consisted of the Nikon D300s camera kit and the Sigma 50-500mm lens. I've always been a fan of Delta Airlines I love to fly and I grew up flying out of Atlanta a lot with very fond memories. I was able to capture a lot Delta's aircraft fleet and got some good side-on shots of planes as the performed their climbing out procedures after takeoff. Here is some of the best shots!

  • All taken near the hotel I stayed in when I came to Atlanta for a concert. I found a cool spot where I could watch the planes takeoff. I also wanted to try out my new Nikon P1000 camera which has an even more powerful zoom. It replaced the Nikon P900 that got all those insane moon pictures.
  • Wow! Delta still flies the Boeing 767. A great aircraft I've been when I flew to Seattle a few times.
